For several months I’ve been reading all the information that I can digest about the Minelab SDC 2300 Gold Detector. Now that does not mean that I’ll be buying one but keeping your options open is always a good idea.
One of the key features that the Minelab SDC 2300 Gold Detector offers is a compact folding design. This is a huge benefit for those who like to hike and store items in our backpacks. The additional benefit to this feature is ease with travel. Getting a detector on a plane to visit Alaska or other remote places can be challenging. For me as a seasoned gold prospector that’s a point of concern as my Fisher Gold Bug 2 excels at finding small gold. However, if you are new to nugget shooting or just need a change of pace in your nugget hunting routine the Minelab SDC 2300 Gold Detector just might be the perfect gold detector rekindle your interest. Its also interesting to note that the technology used with the Minelab SDC 2300 Gold Detector is MPF technology. MPF stands for Multi Period Fast and in layman’s terms that means minimal ground noise and sharp gold nugget signals. This article is a good intro to the technical side of things for any newbie.
