Gerber’s Gator Machete Jr.
I just recently picked up Gerber’s Gator Machete Jr. to see how it would work as a general purpose bushwhacking and campfire side tool. Its my first time buying a Gerber product (except for baby food). Not even sure if they are the same company.
At first the price kinda turned me off, $20.00 as we are biased to believe that we always get what we pa for. What inspired me to try the Gator Jr. is I don’t have much to loose and the other reviews out there look encouraging. The only thing that I’ve read that I don’t like is the tang does not extend through the handle. The upside is its 15.5 ounces, less than a pound.
I don’t know about you but when I’m out in the field hunting game or gold I often need to bushwhack. We’ll see how this tool works out. I kow there are a lot of options out there and I already have a small collection of other machetes that I’ve used over the years.
